In keeping with my New Year's theme, I spent all of yesterday and a part of today spring cleaning. Which entailed going through every single thing that I own and purging what I don't need. I also cleaned and tidied all my closets. It's amazing how many things I have accumulated that I don't really need!
I read a pretty good quote yesterday that stated that we hold on to things out of fear that we MIGHT need them in the future.
Am I really going to need all 30 old baggy pj tshirts that are overflowing in my closet?
Do I really need all this makeup that I have had since grade 8?
The 10 pair of gloves that I didn't even know I had?
Do I really need all this junk?
(Oh I did end up finding some birthday money that was tucked away so that was a bonus!)
Do you?
I really want to start this New Year off on the right foot. In order to be able to do so I had to get rid of all the old. When you do, you allow the flow of life to naturally flow through you and to you. When you hoard so much old stuff you essentially create a block in the flow.
Although it was a lot of work and took quite some time. It was well worth it!
I felt very free and liberated!
I urge you all to go through all your stuff!!
Out with the old...
In with the new!!
This also applies to people in your life who don't serve your highest and best good.
Those friend that are a bad influence.
Are rude...
Are negative...
Sane goes for romantic relationships.
It's a New Year.
Start if off fresh and clean. :)
And So It Is
RAN
( I must say that I have changed quite a lot in the past little while.
I used to be very excessive and would hold on to everything.
Would wear too much make up to clubs.
Would wear flashy clothes and jewelry.
Would fill my room with the most amount of knick knacks that I could.
With time and age I have come to truly respect the "less is more" saying.)
