saying yes to your joy

bless, life abounds with love, peace, and joy.

Happiness and joy are not the same thing. Happiness is an emotion
that, like all emotions, comes and goes, while joy is a fundamental
feeling and attitude toward life. It is permanently a part of one’s consciousness.
I recently read a statement that is meaningful to me: “It is not as
important what you turn from as what you turn toward.” Turning
away from what is happening around us is not as important to
happiness and joy as turning toward that which uplifts us from
within—the Spirit of life, creativity, and joy. We know that we will
not always be happy, but by praising and blessing life as it appears,
we have access to the deep, fundamental joy and creativity that is the
essence of Spirit.
We can say that life, the life of the Universe, is good—all the
time. We can always say yes to this inner joy and then begin creating
the circumstances we desire. Praise is a key to unlock the creativity
within. Even in the worst of times, we can find and praise something,
even if it is just the fact that we are alive. Nothing can interfere with
joy when we know that we are one with the life of the Divine.

Today, I approach life with a thankful heart. Right here and right
now, I am an instrument through which Life flows, and I say yes to
my joy.
