Reality vs Idealism-- Rana

As much as people say that you don't need money and you shouldn't be materialistic that's not quite true. The reality is that we DO live in a material world, in which money is needed to buy healthy food, to experience different cities, to buy nice clothes to feel good, to afford transportation, to afford education etc. Point is, even as conscious and spiritual beings, at the end of the day we need money! There is no need to feel guilty or materialistic about that! It's reality.
If you can find a job making money doing what you love all the power to you but I'm realizing that theres a fine line between idealisim and reality. Sometimes you just have to sacrfice in order to live a balanced live and make up for it in different ways. I REALIZE THAT THIS POST MAY CAUSE SOME MIXED OPINIONS.
That's one thing I don't like about all this "new age" "spiritual" teaching. It's all fine and dandy to be aware and conscious of the "Truth" but at the end of the day that wont pay the bills and put food on the table.
Ok last thing... we are put on this earth for the purpose of EXPERIENCING and LEARNING. Im sorry to say that sometimes both those things cost money!! Travelling, reading, going to school etc all need funds. This is huge for me as I was being sucked into this spiritual world and was being very idealistic. I am now learning that you have to balance idealism with reality.
Sometimes in life you have to walk down a different path in order to finally reach your chosen one.
