Most self help gurus speak in terms that are way to New Agey, or all they do is quote others and most these books are not practical to this day and age. It's much more inspiring to hear from someone's personal experience. Anyone can sound all enlightened but few really are. Not to mention the fact that I've seen some people I used to admire speak and was turned off by how egoic they were in person. One person that was not like that and I absolutely love is Deepak!
