Cause is always what produces and effect.
Metaphysically, we are always becoming cause to our effect by our thoughts, words, and beliefs.
Our conscious mind is that point where cause begins. The effect or result is reflected in our physical bodies and life situation.
When we become aware of the process, we find that as we change the cause (thoughts, words, beliefs) the effect (our life situation) changes.
