The only way you will achieve any of this is if you set a goal for yourself.
A date, a size, weight, whatever feels right for you.
Once you have something in your mind to visualize, it will make it a lot easier to achieve.
Visualize your self feeling great because you have achieved your goal. I lost 10 lbs! I gained 30 lbs muscle! I have a 6 pack!
What's your goal?
Mine is to loose weight!!
Due to my "life situation" at the time, I began overindulging in food and lacked the modjo to attempt to workout.
I have finally woken up, and realized that I need to get back in shape!!
I have been setting the same goal for myself for the longest time now.
This time around, I am determined to achieve it.
To help me do so, not only will I visualize the attainment of my goal- but I will track my progress in a small journal.
I recommend the same thing for anyone trying to achieve a fitness goal.
1. Visualize it- what does it feel like to have achieved it? Great! Healthy! Happy
OK now visualize that all that is happening right NOW.
Athletes use this technique all the time.
Visualize the victory!
2. Write it down!
1. Current Weight
2. GOAL Weight
3. Start Date
4. Milestone Dates
5. 1 page calender, each day come back to this page and mark off another day
6. Write down everything you eat
W: Water
B: Breakfast
L: Lunch
D: Dinner
S: Snack
Wo: Work Out
Every day, take a look at how far you have come, how much you have achieved!
Not only does it help document your progress, but it also documents your nutrition intake as well as workout regimen.
Before you feel the urge to indulge or skip a day when you should be engaging in physical activity, take a look at your journal, think about your goal - take a moment- breath- think- and stick to your goal :)
"Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect
leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly
under your belt, that's real power."-- Clint Eastwood
This journal helps document your progress and offers a snap shot of your success.
